Ronaldinho out with strained muscle for 7 days

Brazilian forward Ronaldinho has strained his left hamstring and will miss the Emirates Cup being hosted in London by Arsenal this weekend. AC Milan said in a statement Thursday that Ronaldinho will be out for seven days with a strained left femoral bicep. He comlained of pain Wednsday night after the day's second training session in Milanello and underwent tests Thursday.

Torres has ruptured thigh muscle

Liverpool says forward Fernando Torres ruptured a thigh muscle playing for Spain in the World Cup final but could be ready for the club's opener against Arsenal on Aug. 15. Torres, injured for much of last season, pulled up shortly after entering during overtime of Sunday's 1-0 win over the Netherlands in Johannesburg.

Ibrahimovic to miss Arsenal match due to calf tear

Barcelona forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss Tuesday's Champions League quarterfinal against Arsenal with a leg injury and is in doubt for next weekend's Spanish league showdown with Real Madrid. He felt discomfort in his right calf during the warmup for Saturday's 4-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao, and it was later revealed to be a slight bmuscle/b tear.
