Car buffs looked in windows and gazed at polished exteriors on 210 vehicles at an annual event Saturday in North Charleston. That was good news for Coastal Carolina Corvette Club, which sponsored the Street Thunder Open Car, Truck Bike show at Tanger Outlets in North Charleston.

• A cruise-in sponsored by Lowcountry Muscle Car will be at 7 p.m. at the Sonic Drive-in, 122 St. James Ave. in Goose Creek. There are no entry fees, and all cars are welcome.

• Weekly cruise-ins sponsored by Lowcountry Muscle Car will be held through October on a rotating basis at four local Sonic Drive-ins. The shows start at 7 p.m. The events include a cruise-in every second Saturday at the Sonic Drive-in at 105 Grandview Drive off Berlin Myers Parkway in Summerville.

WEST NEWBURY — The third annual Muscle Car Show to benefit the Lt. Kenneth Fowler Foundation revs up this year on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Pentucket Regional High School campus. This year's show runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is free to car owners and spectators, with donations to the foundation gratefully accepted. No preregistration is required.

Car enthusiasts from across the East Coast get a chance to check out hundreds of muscle cars in Wilmington on Friday and Saturday at an auction hosted by Muscle Car Auctions Incorporated.
