Each one of Cadillac’s lineup of CTS-V flagships are the automotive equivalent of a 9-pound hammer, vehicles of such brutal power and felonious fuel economy they make gearheads cheer, environmentalists scream and small children cry.

Call us nuts, but we were actually feeling pretty good after reading this piece from the Detroit Free Press. Writer Mark Phelan brings up some great points and actually clues us in on some existing technology that is going to give some immediate help (when implemented) in the fuel economy department of gasoline engines. The 2009 Dodge Challenger SE Rallye makes the Challenger SE lineup more exciting with a 5-speed automatic (originally it was offered with a 4-speed auto) and some exterior enhancements. Basically, it’s a Challenger SE for those that don’t want to move up to the HEMI V8 R/T but still want all the visual appeal. Power comes from a 3.5L V6 making 250-hp and a peak torque of 250 lb-ft.
