Minnesota Twins third baseman Nick Punto has a sore groin muscle and will sit out for a game or two. Manager Ron Gardenhire said Friday before the Twins played Kansas City that Punto's status was day to day. Brendan Harris was in the lineup at third base. Punto had three hits in Thursday's win over Boston, raising his average to .269.
